Welcome to another edition of Christian Reads… (So You Don’t Have To) – SEO Edition. This is the April edition. Hard to believe it’s already April! Seems like it was 2011 just yesterday.

Lots of good SEO news & articles since the last Christian Reads; read on to see a hand-picked selection of fantastic articles that I’ve been reading. Have any that that you feel worthy to include? Feel free to let me know in the comments.

Link building (or, as I like to label it, link attracting) is something SEOs have been doing for years… and will no doubt continue to do in the years to come. Rand offers some unique and fairly out-of-the-box ideas to try to build links. Protip: look in the comments from some more nuggets from the SEOmoz community.

No way around it – the anchor text associated with an inbound link does tend to matter. There are arguments on how much it matters but it would be wrong to say it doesn’t matter at all. Nathan Safran looked at the landscape of anchor text in inbound links (like how 21% of 1 – 3 word text links are garbage) and provides best practices for anchor text.

My Own Personal Christian Reads…

Hunger Games. It’s all the rage. While I haven’t officially started the first book, I’ve purchased it on Kindle. It’s on my iDevice, sitting there, mocking me. Not sure how much I will be reading as the NHL playoffs began last night (go Canucks!).

Readers Read… (So I Don’t Have To)
